Sep 16, 2017 路 man, i just realized ive been playing 6 1/2" depth snare drums almost all my life. played a mapex maple snare that was 5" depth for literally 4 gigs while i reheaded/oiled/polished my 6 1/2" depth ludwig stainless steel snare. the 5" sounds great, but i am just used to the 6 1/2" depth. would love to try a 13 x 7" snare though

But again, I fully expect in the years to come there will be more threads pertaining to repeating internal 5.7 weaknesses than on the 6.1. Hope I'm wrong for the 5.7 owners and that those engines are as close reliability wise as the entire rides are
